Free Computer Classes at the Library
Are you interested in learning about digital skills?
Literacy Chippewa Valley will offer free digital literacy courses at
the Bloomer Public Library. We will teach you how to use Northstar an online learning platform and essential computer and software skills.
The course is 12 weeks in length for 1 hour each week.
Limited to 15 new students and 5 returning students.
On the following Mondays:
Sept. 9, 16, 23, 30
Oct. 14, 21, 28
Nov. 4, 11, 18, 25
& Dec. 2.
Time: 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Page Turners is a themed-based book group that was started in the fall of 2014. The thought behind the formation of this book group was why limit yourself to reading a book you don’t like reading. Instead, we decided to pick a theme for the year and each month, a sub-category that falls within that yearly theme is chosen. The thinking is that reading should be an enjoyable experience, and if you, the reader, don’t enjoy reading a book, you won’t want to keep reading the book or even continue in the book club.
We meet the third Saturday of every month. New readers are always welcome.
