Youth Services Librarian/Library Associate

The Bloomer Public Library seeks a creative and outgoing person who loves working with kids. The Youth Services Librarian/Library Associate plans and facilitates children’s programs and activities, conducts outreach to local schools, and manages the children’s collection.  

This position is 40 hours a week, which includes some evening and Saturday morning shifts. Compensation is $13.15 an hour plus benefits.

A high school diploma is required with education beyond high school in library science or education preferred. Must have experience working with children and families.

Library Building

The Library was established as a tax-supported municipal library for the City of Bloomer in 1916. Originally, the building was placed in the Bloomer Grade School. The current building was built in 1987 on land donated by the Bleskacek Family Trust.

The mission of the Bloomer Public/G.E Bleskacek Family Memorial Library is to provide resources and services that inspire people to explore, learn and connect.
